November 16, 2006I assigned my other half to Jusco member day war and he came back with 2 x 2 feet loaves of Gion Danish Bread (RM18 each) without the geishas. Very crispy when warmed up in a toaster oven and also good right from the bag. Good news for Penang bread lovers – it is going to be sold in Jusco Penang.

Panasonic SR-MM18N
September 30, 2006This is my new rice cooker. My old rice cooker and slow cooker (both Panasonic ) can retired into the darkest corner in my kitchen. It has become an essential equipment for me to prepare meals for my husband, 4-year old and 2-year old. When I reach home I can expect food hot, ready to be serve at anytime. I tried slow cooking red kidney bean (without having to soften beans in water beforehand) soup after the kids went to bed at 9pm and next morning it’s ready to be serve, soft and fluffy bean and sweet soup.
I must admit the instruction manual is disappointing. There are no recipes. I am a part time cook therefore instructions and recipes are very important to educate a user like me.
Isetan 16th Anniversary Sale for Members
September 28, 2006![]()
I am a neither smart housewife nor professional at hunting good bargain but I am surprised at my luck at recent sale. Other than the offers printed in its newsletter, it was just a regular sale. There are 2 surprising “errors“ which are:
- Tiger Thermos set price which was printed as RM160 is actually RM16, read my lips SIXTEEN RINGGIT.
- Henckels knife set also printed RM160, is also RM16 – SIXTEEN RINGGIT.
I managed to purchase a thermos set and a picnic mat, each sold at RM16.
